Disney World was awesome, but more than the things we saw and did at the Magic Kingdom. It was awesome to be on vacation with my wife and kids. They were wonderful. I was worried about the kids getting tired and cranky, or loosing their self control, but they did wonderful. It was amazing.
We road Dumbo, that one was fun because Caleb could control it going up and down as we went round and round. Then we did the Barn Stormer. It was a real roller coaster! Ethan was able to ride too, it was great. I didn't get sick. It was great. Caleb's favorite ride was Space Mountain, Ethan's was Buzz Lightyear. Jill's favorite ride was Space Mountain. Steve really enjoyed just seeing his kids have fun and do such a good job. I liked the Monster's Inc laugh floor.
We have also really enjoyed staying with Bart and Amy. They have treated us like kings and it has been fun staying up talking.
Murphy's Law (the First Law) casts a dark shadow on the Murphy name. "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong." The Second Murphy Law is actually a deep secret. If the secret gets out it would disrupt the balance of the universe. Hence Murphys take all the ribbing for the first law to help distract anyone from wanting to learn the second law. The little known third law used to just be Murphy's Theory until recently. In the depths of this blog you will discover it’s truly an important law.

Vacation!!!
Today we went to the beach in Gulf Shores. We are staying with Grandma Bobbie. Caleb was amazing at the beach. He was constantly in the water, dodging waves. Ethan was braver than ever. The last time we did the beach with Ethan, he was afraid of touching the sand. This time he wouldn't go into the water, but he played hard building sand castles with Jill. Robbie met us and showed Caleb and me how to buggie board. I will upload pictures later. The kids are asleep, it is 8:20, and Jill and I are going on a walk.

Ask a Ninja
Wess Foreman just introduced me to Askaninja.com . Well, this was funny enough to make me laugh. So I share.
This is episode #42 where a "Ninja" is asked the question: There are so many words and sayings in the english language, are there any of particular words or terms that come from ninjas?"
This I don't know if this guy is doing this stuff improv and it was edited or it was scripted, but some of it is silly funny, some of it is witty... I just kept laughing. Thanks Wess! 0K, I am going to show a little backbone and stop talking and let you see the video.
"Read between the lines" because sometimes there's a ninja there!

Zephyr Films is at it again
Zephyr Films is our neighborhood kids movie group. Where the kids of the neighborhood write and act in fun short films. We are at it again. We are now entering into post production of our latest film: "Revenge of the Ninjas". (hopefully Caleb will help me with the editing again)
We had a blast today filming. We even had two new actors join the crew. Caleb Hurst came over, and we have a new neighbor Logan. We all sat around the table brainstorming and storyboarding, then we worked on props, then it was off to filming. We even had costumes this time. (ninja outfits of course)
So be on the lookout for our new feature.
Here are some of our older films.
Hunter
Greatest Spies Ever Ep. 1
Races to Ride
Backyard Guards 1
and of course our special effects piece:Backyard Guards 2

My Friend's Miracle
Hilary was scheduled to have a C-section on Friday the 27th, because Angelica Patience (that's the baby's name - cute huh) was going to be be breach. Well, actually let me share what Fletch wrote from his own experience in an email:
"The doctor, who would not normally always check to see the baby via ultrasound did so. We never felt any major movement however last night we saw a different part of her (angelica) sticking up which we mistook for an arm. (I guess it was a foot). That's right folks she flipped somehow and quite surreptitiously in the past 24 hours and no one was the wiser till this morning. We were waiting to go in to the OR but were delayed because of a prior emergency C-section. We were scheduled for 10am. We realised the baby was not breached at about 10:15am (Go figure) Waiting made all the difference. Last week the baby was breached and it was definitely a God-thing that Hilary had to wait. Who would have thought of this happening at this stage in the game? At the doctor visit on Tuesday the baby was still breach and with so little fluid to turn the likely hood of continued breach even if we went to 41 weeks seemed inevitable. The doctor admitted that in all her years she had never seen something like this happen in so short a time. Pray works even for those that think it probably won't. Admittedly both Hilary and I were in that position where we felt it simply inevitable and that pray was merely a formality."
Well, here are the stats of the miracle baby.
8lbs
Length 19.25 inches
Apgar score 9 + 9
Head circumference 14.25

Gosh Brad, you should have told me you were going to wear that outfit today! We look like Twinkies!
Brad Granderson and I had an incredible time doing the MS150 together. Thanks to him, here is an excellent collection of images our our experiences together.
Check out his blog http://granderson.blogspot.com/
and
The photos he collected
Just when I think I have calmed down, someone will ask me how my ride went... then off I go running my mouth not being able to telling the stories and sharing the sights and sounds as best I can. So if you have missed my online ravings about the ride just click on the MS150 label and you can read all about it.
