Murphy's Law (the First Law) casts a dark shadow on the Murphy name. "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong." The Second Murphy Law is actually a deep secret. If the secret gets out it would disrupt the balance of the universe. Hence Murphys take all the ribbing for the first law to help distract anyone from wanting to learn the second law. The little known third law used to just be Murphy's Theory until recently. In the depths of this blog you will discover it’s truly an important law.
I found this site after searching for information on McCoy's passing. McCoy and I knew each other in the olden days, here in Nashville, TN. He actually flew in to play for my wedding in 1966. I was saddened to hear of his passing. The video on this site reminded me of his touch on the organ and how gifted he was. May God be with his friends and family during this time. Rest assured, the Lord has welcomed him home. Jean Welch-Wilson
Steve, thank you so much for putting this together. McCoy was an amazing musician and will be missed greatly. Seeing those pictures of him with the childred reminded me of just how much he played in my growing up close to the church and close to music. Without him, I may not have found the passion and skill to perform at all.
It was very sad for me to not be able to take part in the celebration of his life.
If there are any additional recordings of his last concert, let me know. I would love a copy. Thanks again for putting this together.
I do have a DVD of his Organ Recital celebrating his 20th year here at Trinity. Just give me some contact info and I can get that DVD to you. It is $10.
Thank you for putting this together and posting it, Steve. What a priviledge it was to have him as my organ teacher for 7+ years. What an amazing man, gifted musician, and faithful servant.
