This was a slow read, not because of the book, but because of life. This was an incredible book to read. The author really draws a picture of how BIG our GOD is. Some of the things I found very interesting were how one of the significant things of the New Testament is that we can call God "Father". That we are adopted. It made me reflect on how I pray. I don't think I necesarrily am praying "wrong" because I typically pray talking to Jesus, but it challenged me to broaden my thinking to consider praying like Jesus to his Father. The chapters dealing with us as sons of God I think became really significant after drawing a very big picture of how great and mighty God is. It was powerful to think of Jesus as brother, not out of something I have done, but as a creature of his creation brother is the place I have been raised up to. Here are some excerpts that I thought were worth reading.

Glad you are enjoying it. I found it incredibly dry and (at points) disagreed with Packer's take. (Blasphemy, I know...)
Good for you for sticking with it.
